Calendar2009 Year in Review

As 2009 draws to a close, we at CAMcad wish to thank all our customers and suppliers for their confidence in us, and their support. There have been several changes during the year, and we believe that they have all worked out to be positive ones.

What's new?

MarkWe are thrilled to bring Mark Zalewski back into the mix at CAMcad. Mark brings with him a great ‘can-do’ attitude along with the fact that he CAN DO. Mark has an extensive knowledge of SURFCAM (he’s used it since 1991), tooling, processes, and figuring out how to cut the tough parts.

AlisonAlison Wildblood took some time off to care for her mother, who was in the end stages of Alzheimer’s disease. Her mom passed away the end of July and Alison was able to return to CAMcad in October, so you’ll be hearing from her periodically.

DarinDarin Weatherbee has spent more time this year installing Predator Shop-Floor Networking solutions for our customers, in addition to being your faithful support dude. Darin is CAMcad’s technology guru for IT and communications and is available on a consulting basis for our customers, too.

VanessaVanessa Townsend has been attending classes this year in addition to working full time. You may also hear from her, as she is helping us stay in touch with all of you on a regular basis – just checking to make sure all is well.

SURFCAM SaleS up 30%

Our SURFCAM sales were up 30% this year!

Sales Are UpThe excitement about TrueMill, Surfware’s patented material removal technology, continues to grow. Most people can’t believe it until they see and hear it cut. But when they do, that’s when the wheels start turning and their jaws drop. That’s when they realize that the videos are not doctored, that the chips ARE blue, and the tooling and the part are not hot at the end of machining. Stay tuned for seminars and Open Houses in a neighborhood near you in 2010.

We are still discovering the “true limits” of TrueMill. To get optimum results from the TrueMill technology, you need the right ingredients, sort of like in cooking:-

Custom Software (API)

The Custom Software development part of our business grew 250% this past year. Our customers have been benefiting from productivity increases of 2,000% to 10,000% through the “Competitive Secret Weapon” we develop for each of them. Our focus is to make your computer work for you.

new Business Alliance Partners (BAP)

As part of our focus on TrueMill, we have been working closely with GW Schultz Tool, Inc., Lyndex-Nikken, and Haas to develop and test tooling, the right speeds and feeds, and the right mix of coolant (or not) that can help push the envelope with TrueMill’s material removal rates.

New Website and Logo

CAMcad LogoWe decided to update our corporate logo and our tag-line because of the results our customers are getting with the technology and expertise we offer. Our new web site will be rolled out January 1, 2010. CAMcad will always be
“Your Manufacturing Solutions Partner”, but now we also provide “Productivity Unleashed”.
