FAQ
Q. What files do I need to back up before upgrading my SURFCAM?

A. During the install process you will be prompted for a destination directory, if you choose a directory that contains an older version of SURFCAM the install will perform an UPDATE update installation.  This will keep your previous version intact and add the newer version.  If you choose a different directory the installation will perform a NEW install the UPDATE installation copies of the critical files will be placed in a backup folder

We also recommend that you backup the following files prior to any installation and/or update.  Some of these files will be used for reference purposes only and are not intended to overwrite the newer files.

I created a batch file to help this process - HERE

\Postlib\postform.m -- Mpost Mill Post

Q. What are the Computer Requirements for SURFCAM

SURFCAM Hardware Recommendation

Q. Is there a Network Version of SURFCAM?

A. Yes, SURFCAM will be need to be installed on the Client Computers and the Security Interface Module or SIM/Dongle will be located on a Server instead of the Client PC.   This is great for Schools that do not want their SIMs to be stolen.

Q. How can I replace my SURFCAM system if it is missing or is stolen?

A. You will need to purchase the Software again, the Software Interface Module or SIM/Dongle should be insured for the FULL Purchase Price.  The SIM is the Licensing for Software.

Q. How can I replace my SIM if is goes bad?

A. Contact your Dealer, if you have a Current Maintenance Contract, a replacement SIM will be shipped to you at no charge.  If you Maintenance Contract is expired, you will be charged Shipping.  The Replacement SIM will have a temporary license, when the defective sim is returned to Surfware, a Permanent license will be sent.
