Reverse Engineering

We sold FARO Technologies, Inc. 5- and 6-Axis portable digitizers for several years, providing feasibility benchmarks for firms who want to see their application supported with this emerging technology before making a capital investment.

CAMcad was involved in spec'ing the original FaroARM interface to SURFCAM, and was subcontracted by Surfware to make improvements for the later USB version of the FaroARM.

In addition to the experience gained through the training we've provided our customers over the years, we have tackled projects on a contract basis for accounts that could not justify the capital investment.

Neometrix, listed on our Affiliates page, can provide high speed laser scanning services, which when combined with our knowledge of SURFCAM, plastic injection moldmaking, stamping tools, and general machine knowledge, make our reputation for problem-solving second to none in the industry.

We have two other subcontractors with FaroARM digitizing and CAM-oriented surface modeling expertise. Both own FaroARM units, and are available for on-site service work.
