Illegal System DLL Relocation Error when launching EditNC

We have discovered a problem with a Microsoft Security Update KB925902 released April 4, 2007 that prevents EditNC from running.

Issue: Illegal System DLL Relocation Error when launching EditNC

Cause: This problem may occur after you install security update 925902 (MS07-017) and security update 928843 (MS07-008). The Hhctrl.ocx file that is included in security update 928843 and the User32.dll file that is included in security update 925902 have conflicting base addresses. This problem occurs if the program loads the Hhctrl.ocx file before it loads the User32.dll file.

Resolution Option 2 : Uninstall the Security Update KB925902

Steps to Uninstall the Security Update

1.  From your Control Panel click the Add or Remove Programs Icon

2.  Check the “Show Updates” Check box at the Top

3.  Scroll down and locate Security Update (KB925902)

4.  Click the Remove Button

5.  Reboot
