  • Introducing RapidRoughTM - Learn More
Leveraging the power of TrueMill™ technology and the optimized roughing of Step Reduction Milling, SURFCAM Velocity II introduces RapidRough—the patented one step, TrueMill™ powered, 3D roughing through pre-finishing operation!

  • TrueMill Enhancements
Velocity II includes several enhancements to TrueMill™, Surfware’s high-speed machining solution. Enhancements include faster tool repositioning, minimum radius control for tool engagement milling, and improvements to the part edge compensation capabilities.

  • Enhanced Hole Processing
Starting with a complete redesign of the 2 Axis Hole Process interface, substantial cycle time improvements in hole processing can be achieved in Velocity II. These enhancements are of substantial benefit when the same tools are used in multiple hole processes. These tools can be sorted by tool number to minimize tool changes and and by Construction View to minimize rotations.

  • More File Exchange Options
Several changes make it easier than ever to work with files from other systems. SURFCAM now offers support for exporting dimensions and text in DXF and DWG file formats, the direct import of native Mastercam files, and additional import options for SolidWorks and Parasolids files.

  • Better Masking Control
More options and more control have been added to the masking capabilities in Velocity II. Masking has been improved to allow you to mask additional drawing elements, and to provide rules-based control over specific elements such as drawing layers, arcs, and circles. In addition, you can now save and reuse masking templates.

  • Wire EDM Enhancements
Wire EDM has been completely overhauled for all three methods of generating wire EDM toolpaths to provide a more cohesive and easier-to-use interface. The same entry screens are now displayed for all three types of wire EDM operations: 2 Axis XY, 4 Axis, and 4 Axis UV. All parameters and functionality now support cutting a surface as well as using UV vectors.

  • Enhanced Verification
SURFCAM Velocity II offers better representation of tooling during verification, a new pixel-based verification mode, and better control to allow single steps forward and backward through the verification process.

  • Other Enhancements
In addition to the enhancements listed above, numerous other enhancements have been added as well.
